wet grass; hands and knees

It began with a truckload of food,
and one sullen minivan refusing to exceed the speed limit.
It ended with that truck fading on the horizon.

Nevertheless, we all eventually reached our destination,
the lost world.

We celebrated several good things over the weekend camping in Volcano, including
The Return of Alena                                                       With Special Guest Christina

Most astonishing of all was the human factor our neighbours presented.

All that eternal ride over the conversation consisted of nothing but POA's concerning the impending zombie apocalypse.

Yet, somehow, the entire weekend our task force seemed to hold them at bay by mere show of  humanity.

However, some of the company's sanity swerved to a dangerous low towards the final deranged days of no showers, no fast food, and no beloved television- with only the saving presence of spam to hold back an ever-increasing feeling of ghost-zombie oppression.

Despite these odds, the company managed to endure.
So long live berry hunters, man-hunts, innocent spiders,
and slippers marching through the free woods
of Adventure.
